The Context

“Interaction with a Brand”

The Guinness Black Lager launch party in NYC is a great example of how our system can entertain guests while engaging them in the brand.

At the Hudson Terrace, late in the summer of 2011, Guinness held a legendary by-invitation-only launch party to celebrate the activation of their newest creation, the delicious, cold brewed, Guinness Black Lager. Among the party's attendees were key national distributors, marketing executives involved with the campaign, and representatives from Guinness, including a genuine Guinness brew master. As the sun set on the over the Hudson River, guests were treated to gourmet catering services and enjoyed being among the nation's first to try an ice-cold Guinness Black Lager.

The Challenge

A premier NYC marketing firm hired OzTech Media to provide the event with a premium photography experience that offered:

  • Full event coverage
  • Candid shots and interactive group photos
  • A photo booth-style of delivering the images, without the photo booth footprint
  • Social networking
  • Creative use of visuals throughout the event to enhance the party’s atmosphere

The Solution

"No Limits Photography"

The heart of this event is our proprietary ability to spread an image across multiple media sources and allow an event photographer to “roam” the event.

With our network up, OzTech Media’s modular design allows us to distribute photos the way a photo booth would. Fast, wireless printing, sharing of photos via social media and instantaneously feed onto any number of Tv’s.

The work flow:

  • Photographer engages guests and offers a 'share-able' photo-op
  • The camera is wirelessly synced and photos are immediately transferred over the network
  • The system automatically applies a custom graphic overlay(watermark) to the photo
  • Image is immediately delivered through our distribution modules to the guest and crowd.
  • Photos are shared over various social networks via iPad
  • Within seconds the guest has shared their picture online, received a 5x7 print and enjoyed seeing their picture added to the dynamic slide show in the room.

The Results

The ozKiosk iPad App is what seems to be commented on the most. It is developed specifically for the event with a crisp dynamic design that allows users to not only email and tweet their photos, but also post their photo directly to facebook via an iPad being carried by one of our lovely assistants.

During the three-hour event our photographer captured 147 sharable images of which all were printed, 113 Emailed and 91 shared over Facebook and Twitter.
